Thank you to everyone who made the 25 Year Reunion a huge success!  A great time was had by all and "Pandemonium" was achieved.  Thank you Mark Schwickrath!!

* A very special "Thank You" goes out to Daniel Breeden who for the past 2 years has donated the money to keep this website up and running.  Dan- your generosity is greatly appreciated!!!

Classmates,

In order to ensure you receive important messages from our class web site, as well as messages sent directly to you from other Classmates, it's important you whitelist the email address noreply@classcreator.net (that's a .net, not a .com).

What is whitelisting? Whitelisting simply means you are telling your email program to accept all emails coming from our class web site and our Classmates. The technique for whitelisting varies by email program, but generally you will see the term "Whitelist", "Safe List", or "Safe Sender's List". This is where you want to be sure you have added the email address noreply@classcreator.net.

Class Creator, the system that helps us operate our class web site, uses the address noreply@classcreator.net when sending out email messages. Be assured that all emails sent through our site are valid — you will not receive spam email. Whitelisting noreply@classcreator.net is the single most important thing you can do to ensure you don't miss anything happening on our site or miss receiving emails from your fellow Classmates.

Stop and take a moment to whitelist noreply@classcreator.net right now, and ensure you stay connected!

 Sincerely,

Julie Ryan Lindstrom

- THIS DAY IN HISTORY -

High Wycombe Weighs New Mayor 20th May ( 1958 ) : An annual custom dating back to medieval times unique to High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England weighs the Mayor of the town each year so that the public can see whether or not he has been getting fat at the taxpayers' expense.

During the weigh in performed by the local "macebearer" dressed in traditional costume rings a bell and calls out the weight.
When he adds the words "And no more!" the crowd cheers as a sign of their appreciation and gratitude for the hard work done by the mayor for the community.

When he adds the words "And some more!", it means the mayor has been indulging in too much good living at rate payers' expense and the crowd jeers and boos.

Charles Lindbergh 20th May ( 1927 ) :Charles Lindbergh who many called the "flying fool" has set off from Roosevelt Field in Long Island, NY, today flying the "Spirit of St. Louis" on an epic flight from New York to Paris and is a milestone in flying aviation history, he is expected to arrive in Paris sometime late tomorrow. His plane A Ryan is expected to travel up to 125 MPH as the fuel load decreases.

Freedom Riders 20th May ( 1961 ) An angry mob consisting of all white's attacked a busload of "Freedom Riders" ( Freedom Riders were testing the United States Supreme Court decision Boynton v. Virginia, that gave them a legal right to disregard local segregation ordinances regarding interstate transportation facilities. ) in Montgomery, Ala., prompting the federal government to send in United States marshals to restore order.

Brought to you by the great people at ThePeopleHistory.com.
